Eben Lindsey

PRESIDENT & CEO

Hometown: Vancouver, British Columbia

Personal quirk: Spent 2 years living in South America volunteering and consulting while exploring the continent.

With a keen eye for innovative technology and a passion for sustainable energy applications, Eben started his journey with Urban Solar in September 2017 as their Business Development Manager. Over time, he evolved into his current role as CEO, where he thrives on collaborative problem-solving with his team, clients and strategic partners like Tolar and Axentia.

Hometown: Oakville, Ontario

Personal quirk: Nearly launched a snowboard graphics business pre-Covid

Liam Hamel joined Urban Solar in September 2021 after a chance encounter with Urban Solar’s CEO at a school event hosting mock interviews led to a real job opportunity. As the Business Development Manager, Liam’s days consist of outreach, responding to customer inquiries, researching transit upgrade projects in North America and exploring opportunities of how to improve transit spaces with off-grid, bus stop amenities.

Learning about cultural differences and its impact on how people communicate and do business really helps me with our international partners, like Axentia in Sweden.

Alter ego: The transit innovator

Hometown: Edmonton, Alberta

Personal quirk: Perennially last place in fantasy football, but still plays every year

In March 2023, Eric joined Urban Solar and brought a wealth of experience from his time at BC Transit with him. Some of which included managing the installation of over 80 shelters across 30 communities. Originally introduced to Urban Solar through his management of BC Transit’s Bus Shelter Program, he saw the impact of improving bus stops first-hand.

Hometown: Harare, Zimbabwe

Personal quirk: Has visited every continent except Antarctica, including 26 countries in a single year

Krupal joined Urban Solar in 2026 as Head of Operations, bringing deep expertise in manufacturing, procurement and supply chain strategy. He’s focused on strengthening supplier partnerships, building a resilient supply chain and laying the groundwork for future production.

What attracted him to Urban Solar was the opportunity to help scale a company solving real-world challenges. He was drawn to the team’s ambition and the chance to build something that delivers a lasting impact both for communities and the environment.

Graham’s trajectory to Engineering Manager at Urban Solar is as unique as the projects he leads. Joining the company in August 2021, he was drawn to the tangible impact his work would create. With a background in environmental technology, a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Victoria and a minor in oceanography, his career has always revolved around off-grid solutions.

Personal quirk: True Crime podcast aficionado

Brianna's time with Urban Solar began in January 2021 when she joined as a co-op student from the University of Victoria's Business program. Drawn in by the company's sustainable mission, she felt a connection to Urban Solar's unique focus on transit. “Having used public transit everyday since I moved to Victoria 7 years ago, I was intrigued by the company's focus on improving the rider experience,” she shares. In January 2022 she returned full-time, keen to work with like-minded individuals in a team-driven environment.

Anis joined Urban Solar in 2026, bringing a career built on turning complex ideas into clear, compelling communication. As Proposals and Marketing Coordinator, she leads content development, proposal writing and brand strategy, drawing on over 15 years of experience in sustainability, communications and project coordination at one of Brazil's largest public institutions. Her background spans sustainable procurement, social investment in renewable energy and open innovation, making Urban Solar a natural fit for both her skills and her values.

Ching joined Urban Solar looking to return to her roots in operations, and brings a wealth of experience doing exactly that. As Procurement & Logistics Manager, she will be overseeing Urban Solar’s supply chain and procurement activities. Her career has taken her from financial consulting and journalism in Melbourne, to operations leadership at a Vancouver skateboard and bike manufacturer, to managing ERP systems for an oceanographic company in Victoria, and now to helping Urban Solar scale up.

A good team possesses humility and feels comfortable being vulnerable with one another. It’s such an important foundation of a successful team.
